I've successfully unclogged tanks in the past by running a plumbers
snake in through the outlet. The way I do that, is to have the RV
parked at a dump station (preferably one that's not busy!), and then I
connect an ordinary dump hose to the outlet. Holding the free end of
the hose well above the top level of the tank, I open the gate valve,
and feed the snake in. It helps to have an assistant help hold the
hose in its collapsed position to shorten the run. When the snake
breaks through the clog, it will be obvious, as the lower portion of
the hose fills up. Keeping the free end high, go to the dump inlet,
and carefully bring the open end down, while at the same time
maintaining a high loop in the hose. Once the open end is in place,
lower the loop and drain normally. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
