How about Joshua Tree Nat. Park? They have a number of campgrounds and
it is not to far from Riverside and you won't find a lot of ATV's and
Dune Buggies there. Two CG have water and dump stations, Black Rock at
4000' and Cottonwood at 3000'. Nights might be a little cool but days
will be glorious if it doesn't rain. This will give you an opportunity
to check out all your systems. Bob Clerc also has a good idea if you
want to go to a FHU ( Full Hook Ups) CG.
If you go to Pio Pico come on over to Campo and ride our trains on Sat.
or Sun. Sat. 2/16 is a trip to Tacate (you need Passport or photo ID and
other proof of citizenship) and Sundays are a local excursion. See <<
