I recall back in the 80s when all them plants got canceled. TMI played a role, but the the factor I recall most was, that people where seeing 200% rate hikes when nuclear power plants came on line. The rest of the country decided them did not want that to happen to them. Nuclear power has been promising cheap electrical power for 50 years. Communities the bought that line back in the 70s & 80s got burned. Now nuclear power is trying to run the same scams again.
